Blake Teichmeier is an educator and the founder of GreatCents.org, a platform dedicated to making financial literacy accessible to all, particularly middle school students. With a background in Instructional Technology (Master's degree from the University of Kearney, Nebraska, 2021) and a Bachelor's degree in Education (Grace University, 2012), Blake has spent over a decade teaching Financial Literacy at Walnut Middle School in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Blake's journey into financial education began unexpectedly when he was offered the opportunity to teach a new financial literacy class, a rare subject for middle schoolers in the area at the time. Without a set curriculum, he took the initiative to develop a curriculum for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders over the years. His passion for making financial education both engaging and practical led to innovations like online notebooks and classroom job systems using fake money, turning theory into practice for students.

The idea for GreatCents.org was sparked by a conversation with a parent who wished their children could have access to Blake's lessons. This motivated him to create a platform where financial education could be available to everyone, without the barrier of cost. Blake’s professional mission is to empower people, regardless of their financial situation, to live financially informed lives.

Through GreatCents.org, he continues to offer free educational resources, alongside premium materials for home or classroom use, making financial literacy education both accessible and impactful.
